That's what my youngest used to call cookies. Well, she still calls them that - even at 20, she's a "coobie" fan.
She came home from college Friday evening and naturally, Mom had her favorites waiting for her:
Snickerdoodles
Mix thoroughly:
1 c. softened butter (not melted)
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
Sift together and stir in:
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon and place on a buttered cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
And try not to eat them all in one sitting. :-)

I rarely use any gadgets when i cook, im in the process of getting rid of things, the only thing i really like is having 2 really good sharp knives....
Not gadgets i know
I have to agree, Ashrt. I'm not a big fan of "things" hanging around in the kitchen. But when I find one that's actually used (instead of ignored and pushed from drawer to drawer), I appreciate whatever value it brings. I'm not attracted to small appliances - coffee makers, bread machines, fancy toaster ovens - so when I find one that I don't stop using, like my panini maker, I'm surprised!
What kind of knives are your favorite?
